What a Thought

February 3, 2010

It’s been a while friends!  You may wonder what I’ve been up to.  Well, besides teaching and finishing up some odds and ends for forthcoming articles, etc., I have been dissertating so this stupid thing will be DONE.  There’s some research left to do and about 45 pages that need to be written.  Right now I am sitting at exactly 225 pages, so thankfully I’ve passed the 200 page mark!  If my absence from this here blog continues–as I suspect it will–just image me hunched over a microfilm machine or over my MacBook, and you’ll most likely be spot on.  Things should lighten up after the defense, scheduled for mid April!  It’s hard to believe this process is going to be ending after 5 years in this program.  As of May 2010, I will no longer be a student.  What a thought.

Thanks! This may very well be the longest few months of my life, but there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m in the total opposite end of the spectrum – trying hard to get into a program. Funny how that works, right? Anyways, early congratulations!

Oh, and any advice you have for an up-and-coming history student would be greatly appreciated ^^
